This 9’x 12″ oil painting of “Jack” a beautiful Golden Retriever is done on 1 1/2 ” wood panel. This piece was done as a thank you to friends of ours for the hospitality while staying at their house on Lake Tichigan in Wisconsin. I had the most fun tossing tennis balls into the lake from the dock while the dogs dove and did their retriever thing!

I absolutely love this and didn’t realize the actual painting was ON wood. Every aspect of Jack’s life was captured-finding the sun, his damp hair fluffed out, sleeping on my couch after a swim (to my chagrin), the varied shades of his sun highlights red/blonde hair. He’s a great dog and my family loves him.
