Flat Coated Retriever, A Winery Dog in Color Pencil

This is a  this very relaxed flat coated retriever in color pencil was commissioned from Goleta, California. This sweet dog that lived a life of leisure with his owners on a Winery.   Carson’s joyful romps though the vineyard during the day resulted in a happy relaxed dog at night.  In this portrait I imagine him remembering his fun times running through the fields.  He has now passed, but I’m sure he always knew how much he was loved.  This color pencil/ watercolor painting was done as a Christmas gift for Carson’s owners by their parents.
